My Story
My name is Abby Duncan. I’m from the Yuin Nation and I was born on the South East Coast of NSW, 2006. I am currently based in the Northern Territory, where my buissness started and continues to develop.
I create art because it’s who I am. Ever since I could remember, I’ve loved painting and drawing. Painting has always been something that I’ve carried with me through childhood. I feel as if art has kept me grounded, and reminds me of who I am.
I didn’t start sharing my art till recently and for years it was something I had hidden from people. It always felt too personal to share. But after sharing my art and seeing the joy it brought to people, has inspired me to open up, and sharing my art.
I feel like my paintings tells a story, individually and together as a whole. My paintings tell my story of the places I’ve been, people I’ve met, memories I’ve made and connections I’ve made.
I find inspiration in nature, the environment I surround myself in and the people I surround myself with. I am my happiest when creating new experiences in the bush and is also where I find my motivation, passion and inspiration.
